Green keen for new Hoops deal

Robert Green is keen to secure a new deal with Queens Park Rangers, according to Sky Sports.

The England international has played every minute of the Hoops league campaign so far, with last season’s first choice Julio Cesar, who was strongly linked with a move away from Loftus Road during the summer, yet to make an appearance in the Championship.

The 33 year old has recently entered the final twelve months of his current deal, and talks of a new contract are yet to commence.

The former West Ham United and Norwich City shot-stopper has kept seven clean sheets in a row to fire Harry Redknapp’s men into the automatic promotion places as they look to secure an immediate return to the Premier League.

The West London club host bottom of the league Barnsley on Saturday, and can be backed at 11/8 to win without conceding for a seventh time in eight games.
