Gremio chairman Paulo Odone has revealed that Real Madrid are tracking defender Mario Fernandes.
The 21-year-old is being linked with a January switch to Santiago Bernabeu, after Gremio rejected a couple of offers for his services in the summer.
The club president Paulo Odone has now revealed that he has already met with Real Madrid officials to discuss the possible transfer.
“There were some talks with Madrid in November, but we never talked about money because we want Mario to stay,” Odone told Marca.
“We do not want to sell him and he does not want to leave either. He is very happy here and he does not have to leave.”
