Gremio midfielder Arthur has been one of the most talked about footballers in Spain over the past couple of weeks with El Clasico rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid apparently ready to go head to head in an effort to sign him in January.

Spanish media have speculated with a €50 million release clause in Arthur’s contract with Gremio with club president Romildo Bolzan reportedly unwilling to go below that amount but Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte is now claiming that Arthur could be available for as little as €30 million.

Globo Esporte even offers a detailed breakdown of Arthur’s current contract situation revealing that Gremio currently own 60% of his economic rights, whereas his agent Celso Rigo owns 20% and Arthur’s family holds the remaining 20%.

Barcelona were said to be leading the line for the talented midfielder but the Catalans are waiting on Philippe Coutinho development before making any move towards the Gremio star.

Real Madrid could step in to try and snatch Arthur although Manchester United have also been credited with an interest.
