Barcelona are prepared to rekindle their efforts to bring Neymar back from Paris Saint-Germain, according to Le10Sport, and one of the options they are considering is offering the French champions Antoine Griezmann in return.
Since his arrival from Atletico Madrid this summer, Griezmann has been struggling to fit into head coach Ernesto Valverde’s system, and more to the point, to get into stride alongside Lionel Messi.
The Frenchman spoke about his relationship with the Argentine superstar, and said it was difficult to get to know each other due to the fact that Messi was injured in the early weeks of the season, so they still haven’t been able to spend much time on the training pitch together.
Barcelona were linked with a swoop to bring Neymar back all through the summer, but after the move failed and the transfer window slammed shut, there were doubts expressed (by Messi among others), that they may have not exerted their best effort to make it happen. Some reports went even as far as claiming that the Catalan club were only feigning interest to appease Messi, but that they had no real interest in having Neymar back.
