Griezmann pledges future to Atletico

La Liga star Antoine Griezmann has made it clear that he has no intention of leaving Atletico Madrid any time soon.

The France hotshot enjoyed a very successful debut season at Vicente Calderon and in turn saw top European sides line up for his signature in the summer transfer window.

PSG reportedly had a €60 million bid rejected for the 24-year-old footballer, while Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Manchester United were also keen.

Nevertheless, Atletico Madrid did not want to sell their prized possession, and the forward is quite happy with how everything panned out.

“I read that people thought that I was going to leave this summer, but I’m fine here and the club wants me to remain. I am pleased to do so,” Griezmann told Onda Cero.

Despite arriving from Real Sociedad in a €30 million deal, Antoine Griezmann quickly justified the hefty price tag, bagging 22 league goals in his maiden season in Madrid.

Having enjoyed a winning start to the new La Liga campaign, los Colchoneros can be backed at 12/1 to lift the league title this season.
