Griezmann to sign five-year deal with Barcelona

According to a recent report from Marca, Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann is set to sign a five-year deal with La Liga champions Barcelona who will trigger his buyout clause of £107 million in the process. The proposed move of the Frenchman to the Nou Camp is said to have been in the works for well over a year now, dating back to when he rejected a move to the club in favour of sticking it out with Atletico for one more season. Now, though, he has made it clear that he wants to try out something new, which is why a lot of fans are surprised by the fact that he hasn’t already signed on the dotted line for Barca.

Recent reports suggested that he may have changed his mind in favour of a return to his homeland with Paris Saint-Germain, but in the end, it has always felt like Barca had his heart.
