Griffiths keen on Celtic stay

Leigh Griffiths is ready to commit his future to Celtic amid interest from Championship side Leeds United, according to the Mail Online.

The 24 year old, who moved to Celtic Park from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer of 2011, has alerted potential suitors with nineteen goals in all competitions for the Scottish champions so far this season.

Leeds, who earlier this week named former Brentford and Wigan Athletic boss Uwe Rolser as their fifth head coach in twelve months are looking ahead to next season after a relatively disappointing 2014/15 campaign.

They had been weighing up a £1m move for Griffiths, but will need to look elsewhere with the Scotland international keen to stay north of the border, and compete with Celtic in next season’s Champions League.

Having wrapped up the title earlier this month, Ronny Delia’s side end the campaign at home to Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Sunday afternoon, and can be backed at 1/4 for the win.
