Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths is interested in securing a new deal with the Scottish champions. The 28-year-old has been embroiled in contract talks with the club for months now, but it seems as if things are coming to an end. Griffiths joined Celtic back in 2014 from Wolverhampton Wanderers, and in that time he’s been able to establish himself as one of their most consistent goalscorers.
Griffiths has been known for having a bad attitude in the past, but it doesn’t seem as if that’s been the case in recent times. In fact, despite these talks being ongoing for so long, it does seem as if all he wants is to secure his future with the club. That makes sense, given that he’s set to approach his thirties – showcasing that he probably wants to enjoy the final few years of his prime with Celtic.
The club are currently 2nd in the SPL after defeating rivals Rangers at the weekend.
