France defender Bacary Sagna warns that although the group his team was drawn into for June’s World Cup may seem easy, it should not be underestimated.
The French were linked to hosts South Africa, Uruguay and Mexico.
“The group is rather equal,” the Arsenal player commented in an interview with L’Equipe. “Initially one may think that it is a little easier than the others but nowadays there are no more small nations.”
About the match with South Africa, Sagna said that the match would “unfold itself in a great ambiance”.
France begin their group campaign against Uruguay, something that does not worry the player, who claims that it will just force France to arrive well prepared.
