Grujic arrived to the Merseyside club in the summer of 2016, but he actually signed for the Reds in January that year and spent the rest of the season on loan at his former club, Red Star Belgrade. Having made 14 competitive appearances, he was loaned out to Cardiff City for in 2017/18, and he has been with Hertha Berlin, also on loan, since the summer of 2018, despite interest from Atalanta, Brighton and Hove Albion and Eintracht Frankfurt. This season, he’s played in eight competitive games and scored twice from central midfield.
