Guardiola happy with win

Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola was happy following their 2-0 win over Recreativo on Sunday.

Lionel Messi and Seydou Keita scored the goals for Barca, who are three points clear of Villarreal at the top of La Liga.

“I know that no leagues are won in November, but this win will give us strength,” he told reporters after the game.

“It was an important victory in what was a hard game, as we expected, because Recreativo, since Lucas Álcaraz took over, have conceded few goals and are very well organised.

“We had control and we had the majority of the chances. But we needed to score. After we went ahead we had ten minutes when we did not do well and Recre had two opportunities to score.

“That did not last though and we soon took control back over.”
