Guardiola keen on Ozil

The Metro understands the Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola is eyeing a move for Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil.

The World Cup winner has recently faced criticism in some quarters, but produced a man of the match performance in last weekend’s win at Aston Villa, where he scored one and assisted another of the Gunners’ three goals.

Guardiola has been monitoring the 25 year old ever since he completed his move to the Emirates just over a year ago, and the former Barcelona boss could be set to make a big money offer.

Since arriving in North London, Ozil has made forty-two appearances in all competitions, scoring eight goals, while he featured in all seven of his countries matches on route to lifting the top prize in Brazil this summer.

Arsenal welcome fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur to the Emirates Stadium tomorrow afternoon, and can be backed at 3/4 for the win.
