(GSM) – On Tuesday, Barcelona escaped from their visit to VfB Stuttgart with a 1-1 draw, a result that gives them a slight advantage going into the second leg at the Camp Nou.
Barca boss Josep Guardiola was not surprised by that result.
“In this competition we are all good,” Guardiola said on Barcelona’s official website. “Europe is tough and demanding. All teams are difficult, and well prepared.
“It’s never easy to reach the second round against a team that not too many people know to be champions.
“There are many things taken for granted. We already knew that.
“We must find those little details that make the difference.”
Zlatan Ibrahimovic found the back of the net after the interval to cancel out Cacau’s first-half goal.
The return leg on March 17 will be played at the Camp Nou with Barca needing to hold on to their advantage to maintain their hopes of retaining the title.
