Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is planning to add Spanish full-backs Hector Bellerin and Jose Gaya to his ranks at the earliest opportunity, The Times has suggested.
With the likes of Pablo Zabaleta, Bacary Sagna and Gael Clichy not getting any younger, the Catalan coach wants to rejuvenate his back line.
It is no secret that Arsenal starlet Hector Bellerin is one of his primary targets, but it remains to be seen whether Man City can prize him away from the Emirates.
At the same time, Valencia hotshot Jose Gaya is seen as another potential addition to the squad, with the 21-year-old already regarded one of Europe’s top left-backs.
It is believed that Manchester City have around £100 million at their disposal for defensive reinforcements, as they plan to recruit up to four defenders in the next two transfer windows, where Bellerin and Gaya are at the top of the list.
