Guedes set for Wolves switch

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Goncalo Guedes is set to have a medical with Wolverhampton Wanderers today.

The club agreed to a £25 million deal with Valencia to sign him over the weekend and with the 25-year-old being left out of Valencia’s squad on Saturday, it certainly feels like just a matter of time before a deal is signed, sealed and delivered.

Many fans have been frustrated at the Midlands club’s inability to bring in more new faces during the summer transfer window but if they can get Guedes to sign on the dotted line, it could begin a snowball effect for them lasting between now and the end of the window.

Of course, that’s little more than speculation, but whatever the case may be it definitely feels as if Guedes is the kind of landmark signing Wolves needed to get some supporters back on their side – especially after the loss to Leeds.
