Guerrero wants European return
Corinthians star Paolo Guerrero has made it clear that he would like to return to Europe when his contract comes to an end.
The 31-year-old left Hamburg in the summer of 2012 to move to Brazil and he in turn enjoyed a great deal of success in South America.
Guerrero almost single-handedly won Corinthians the Club World Cup title in 2012, scoring the winner in both the semi-final and final.
However, with his contract due to expire in July this year, the Peruvian is eager to move back to one of Europe’s top leagues.
“I would love to go back to Europe again,” Guerrero told Sport Bild Plus. “In a different league. I would like to play in England or Spain to learn something else.”
Since joining Corinthians two and a half years ago, the striker has made 89 league appearances and scored 32 goals in total.
Napoli rekindle interest in Brozovic
Serie A giants Napoli are set to reignite their interest in Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Azzurri appear set to offload Swiss midfielder Gokhan Inler and in turn aim to recruit a new central midfielder.
Il Corriere dello Sport has suggested that Dinamo Zagreb’s Marcelo Brozovic remains the number one name on their hit-list.
The Croatian starlet has developed into an important player for both club and country, and he is widely expected to leave Maksimir for greener pastures.
At the same time, Napoli officials are keeping close tabs on Malaga hotshot Ignacio Camacho, another long-term target.
Having defeated top 3 rivals Lazio 1-0 at the weekend, the Azzurri can be backed at 4/7 to achieve Champions League qualification.
Rodriguez talks up Parma switch
Atletico Madrid winger Cristian Rodriguez has all but confirmed that he will be joining Parma this winter.
The Serie A strugglers are believed to be in advanced talks with the Uruguay international as they hope to seriously reinforce the squad in the January window.
Rodriguez has now moved to confirm that a move to Italian Serie A is on the cards as he is no longer prepared to wait for his chance at Vicente Calderon.
“I will go to Italy. I could stay at Atletico, train on half a gas and receive wages, but that is for mediocrities,” Rodriguez confessed to Radio Sport 890.
The former FC Porto star has seen very little playing time over the last year and a half, and no wonder he is looking for a new challenge.
At the same time, Parma are showing interest in Diego Reyes and Silvestre Varela, two players currently on the books of the Dragons.
