Gueye close to PSG switch

According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye is currently over in the French capital of Paris ahead of his proposed transfer to Paris Saint-Germain. The Senegal star is set to have a medical in the next day or so, as Toffees fans begin to come to terms with the fact that he will soon be departing Goodison Park.

Gueye has always been viewed as the kind of player that could attract attention from major European clubs, but a lot of Everton fans had been hoping that his tenure with the club up to this point would convince him to stay.

While it’s clear to see that Gueye appreciates what Everton has done for him, that isn’t going to be enough.

Now, PSG fans will be hoping that his Premier League success will translate well over into Ligue 1. If it does, Gueye could take his career to a whole new level.
