The 30-year-old Italy international Guiseppe Rossi is said to have reached an agreement with Serie A side Genoa.
Sky Sport Italia and Mediaset Premium report that a deal between Genoa and the Italian striker is pending a medical, whereas the player himself confirmed the news of the Serie A comeback with a photo of himself at the airport that was published on Rossi’s social media.
Rossi is currently a free agent after his contract with Fiorentina expired in the summer.
Injury-plagued forward has been out of action since April 10 when he ruptured the anterior cruciate knee ligament. Guiseppe Rossi suffered this injury for the third time already but is now fully fit and ready to play immediately.
As a free agent, Rossi will be given permission to join the Genoa team immediately and will not be required to wait for the January transfer window to open.
Genoa and Rossi will initially sign a short-term deal that will keep the Italian striker at club for until the end of the season.
