Dutch manager Ruud Gullit had made an immediate end to his stay with the LA Galaxy. The club says that personal reasons are the cause.
Gullit joined the MLS side in November last year, but hasn’t been very successful at the US west coast.
After having played nineteen games in the Western Conference, the Galaxy occupy the fourth place. Of the last seven games, four were lost and three ended in a draw.
Gullit, one of the Netherlands’ most successful players, has been significantly less fortunate as a manager since starting at Chelsea in 1996.
Since then, the now 45-year-old also coached Newcastle United and Feyenoord Rotterdam.
Assistant manager Cobi Jones has been appointed as temporary replacement.
