Manchester City won yet another Premier League title, this time with 98 points, one more than Liverpool. But that does not mean that the summer at the Etihad will be completely boring, as the Leroy Sane situation is heating up.
In previous weeks we have witnessed the talks of the Germany international’s possible return to the country, as Bayern Munich are very interested in signing him. Even some officials at the Bavarian club spoke of their wishes to get him.
A good person to ask about the situation could be Sane’s compatriot and Man City teammate. Ilkay Gundogan says he has spoken to Leroy Sane and he does not have the impression that the winger wants to leave Manchester City in the summer.
“I don’t know much [about Sane’s situation], only a little. I also talked to him, but he didn’t give me the impression that he really wants to leave. I don’t think Manchester City wants to give him up either. Since Leroy still has two years left on his contract, there is no reason to take action. Therefore, I am assuming that he will stay and I would of course be happy about that.”
