Gundogan still undecided about his City future
Making major history on Saturday night as he lifted Manchester City’s first Champions League crown, Ilkay Gundogan has certainly cemented his place as one of the Etihad’s favourite sons.
However, while Pep Guardiola’s side might have made it clear that they want the ex-Borussia Dortmund midfielder to extend his stay in Manchester, Gundogan stated after Saturday’s final in Istanbul that he is yet to decide on what the future holds.
Playing a crucial role as City became the first English club since Manchester United in 1999 to be crowned treble champions, the German international has just days remaining on his current deal at the Etihad.
While Gundogan might still be making up his mind on where he will be playing next season, Barcelona are currently priced at 1/2 with Olympusbet to snap up the 32-year-old on a free transfer.
Liverpool looking to swoop for JWP
Missing out on the chance to bring Jude Bellingham back to England this summer, it looks like Liverpool will be embarking on a major midfield overhaul ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.
While Jurgen Klopp’s side might have welcomed Brighton talisman Alexis Mac Allister to Anfield earlier in the week, the former Borussia Dortmund boss is still seeking more midfield reinforcements this summer.
With Southampton losing their Premier League status this season, The Daily Mail are reporting that Liverpool are keen on completing a swoop for England international James Ward-Prowse in what they hope will be a cut-price deal.
Although the Saints might have initially quoted £50million for their homegrown skipper, The Mail’s report suggests that Klopp’s side are willing to bide their time and feel that they are sat in pole position ahead of the likes of West Ham and Newcastle.
Arsenal stand firm on their Rice valuation
Although Declan Rice might have guided West Ham to Europa Conference League success on Wednesday night, many around the London Stadium have accepted that their midfield talisman will be set for a blockbuster move this summer.
Refusing to sign a handful of contract exemptions over the past 12 months, the England international has made it clear on multiple occasions that he is seeking the chance to play Champions League football.
However, while the ex-Chelsea schoolboy might still be priced at 4/11 with Luckster to complete a move across London to Arsenal this summer, 90min are reporting that the Gunners are currently unwilling to match West Ham’s valuation.
Although the London Stadium hierarchy might value their skipper at more than £100million, it is beloved that Mikel Arteta’s men are standing firm in the region of £85million.
Leverkusen set their Frimpong fee
While Manchester United might have a heavyweight new number nine at the top of their summer wishlist, it is no secret that Erik ten Hag is keen on bringing another right-back to Old Trafford during the transfer window.
With reports over the past six months that one-time Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka could be heading for the exit, it has been heavily suggested that the former Ajax boss is a huge admirer of Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong.
Reportedly the number one choice among ten Hag’s defensive targets, The Metro are suggesting that Leverkusen have set a £40million price tag on the Dutch international.
Although Spanish giants Barcelona might also be keeping tabs on Frimpong’s situation, The Metro’s report suggests that United will not be put off by Leverkusen’s £40million valuation.
Spurs put off by Raya price tag
Although it might be Harry Kane’s future in north London that is stealing many of Tottenham’s headlines this summer, Spurs have already wished goodbye to one of their most loyal servants.
With it confirmed earlier in the month that Hugo Lloris will be ending his 11-year stay with the Lilywhites, Daniel Levy has made finding a new permanent number one goalkeeper his top priority this summer.
However, although Tottenham might have earmarked Brentford’s David Raya as their top choice to replace Lloris between the sticks, The Evening Standard are reporting that Spurs are unwilling to match the Bees’ £40million valuation.
Although Tottenham might still be priced at 13/8 with Vegas Land to snap up the Spanish shot-stopper this summer, The Standard’s report suggests that Levy is unwilling to break the bank on a player who only has one-year left on his current deal.
