Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will have the opportunity to spend big this summer as the club revealed that they have £120m worth of spare funds in the kitty, according to the Metro.
The Gunners, who smashed their transfer record back in September with the £42.4m purchase of Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid, will be in a position to do similar business when the transfer window reopens, according to a report on the club’s website.
Wenger was expected to make a splash in the recently closed winter transfer window, with the club’s injury list extensive, as has been the case on a regular basis in recent seasons.
They had been linked with a move for an attacker to give support to share the goal-scoring burden with Olivier Giroud, however, their only addition was the loan signing of Spartak Moscow midfielder Kim Kallstrom, who, along with new teammates Abou Diaby, Theo Walcott, Aaron Ramsey and Thomas Vermaelen is currently on the side-lines.
