Guy Demel moves to Scotland

Former West Ham defender Guy Demel has put pen to paper on a short-term deal with Scottish Premier League outfit Dundee United.

The Ivorian had been a free agent since his contract at Boleyn Ground came to and end and he has finally found a new club.

Demel signed a deal with Dundee United until the end of the current campaign, and he should be able to slot straight into the starting line-up at Tayside.

The 34-year-old boasts an impressive experience in top European leagues having represented Arsenal (2000-2001), Borussia Dortmund (2001-2005), Hamburg (2005-2011) and West Ham (2011-2015).

Demel made a total of 79 Premier League appearances for the Hammers since joining from Hamburger SV, scoring 1 goal in the process.

His new club are in desperate need of reinforcements as they sit at SPL rock bottom and no doubt they will be delighted to have secured the right-back’s signature.
