According to a recent report from The Athletic, Manchester City are preparing to offer a new deal to Erling Haaland.
The youngster’s initial contract contained a clause that would have allowed him to leave for £150 million in summer 2024. However, the clause was linked to Pep Guardiola’s future with City, and was therefore cancelled after Pep renewed his deal to last until 2025.
It’s not exactly a secret to say that this has been an incredible campaign for Erling Haaland. The 22-year-old is closing in on 50 goals for the campaign, and the frightening thing is that he still seems to be quite a few years away from his prime.
Manchester City likely aren’t going to let him go for an easy amount, especially given that they’ve only scratched the surface of what’s to come. The Norwegian can quite literally play for any club he desires so long as he keeps up this kind of form, and City know that.
