Erling Haaland of RB Salzburg has informed Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that he wants to join his team, as exclusively reported by Mirror.
The report claims the 19-year-old striker is currently valued at £80 million. He has been reported to be the subject of interest from practically every major club across Europe. He has been in Germany to discuss a potential move with Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig, which prompted Solskjaer to react by contacting the player to convince him to consider coming to Old Trafford instead. Dortmund still want Haaland, but Solskjaer appears to have won the contest by promising the 19-year-old a spot in his team alongside Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial upfront.
However, Mino Raiola, who represents Haaland, is still keeping all options open, and it hasn’t been ruled out that the young Norwegian stays at Salzburg for the rest of the season.
But it appears Haaland has already been to see United’s training complex at Carrington and is very interested in being a part of the ‘revolution’ under the command of his compatriot and former boss at Molde, Solskjaer.
