Hamburg starlet Hakan Calhanoglu has moved to confirm reports linking him with a January switch to Galatasaray.
The Turkey international has exploded onto the biggest stage this season and his impressive showings did not go unnoticed.
And while Hamburg are doing their best to tie down the 19-year-old winger to a new long-term deal, top European clubs are casting admiring glances his way.
Turkish giants Galatasaray appear to be the latest side to have been linked with Calhanoglu, and the player has even confirmed contact with Cimbom.
“It is true that Roberto Mancini wants me,” the youngster confessed to Turkish TV station Beyaz TV.
“I hope that I can work with him one day because he is a great coach. There are conversations. My advisor is in contact with Galatasaray.”
Hakan Calhanoglu joined HSV from Karlsruher this summer following an impressive season in the second division during which he bagged 14 goals in 31 appearances.
He has been in fine form this term as well, having managed 5 goals and 2 assists in 16 Bundesliga outings. Calhanoglu won his first Turkey cap as he featured in the World Cup qualifier against Andorra.
