According to a recent report from Sport Bild, Real Madrid defender Achraf Hakimi is set to remain at Borussia Dortmund for the second year of his loan deal – as confirmed by manager Zinedine Zidane in the following quote.
“Achraf will spend another year in Dortmund. He is a good player and we know that too. It’s good for him to get another yearof match practice there”.
Hakimi had previously made it known that he was interested in the idea of coming back to Real for the start of the new season, as opposed to staying in Dortmund. Either way he’d be playing for a high level European side, but it certainly seems like he is going to get more game time by remaining in the Bundesliga.
The youngster may have been confident in his ability to break into the Real side despite Zidane suggesting it wouldn’t have been possible, but either way, he has to listen to the boss.
