Bundesliga strugglers Hamburger SV are hot on the trail of Bayer Leverkusen striker Josip Drmic, according to Bild.
HSV again sit dangerously close to the relegation zone and having scored mere 9 goals in 17 matches, they are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements.
Bild has now suggested that the Red Shorts have rekindled their interest in long-term target Josip Drmic.
The same source has revealed that HSV are on the verge of agreeing a €6 million deal for the Switzerland international.
Drmic is reportedly hoping to leave Bay Arena in search of first team football and everything suggests he will start the second part of the league campaign as a Hamburg player.
The 22-year-old earned a lucrative move to Bayer Leverkusen last summer following a thoroughly impressive season at Nurnberg, but he has since struggled for playing time at Bay Arena, starting just one Bundesliga game and making another 10 substitute appearances, albeit scoring three goals.
