Hamburg fail with Kuyt bid

Rafa Benitez is in urgent need to raise some cash, but for a man in his position, he is awfully picky about his deals. According to fresh reports in The Daily Mail, Benitez has scared Hamburg with his £16 million evaluation for the hard working striker/winger.

Hamburg are intent on bolstering their squad after they have lost Rafael van der Vaart to Real Madrid, but it is believed that they are not willing to pay over-the-odds for anybody.

Now Benitez will have to be creative and de vise other means of raising the required money to put an end to what is fast becoming the most drawn out transfer saga of the summer. After all, he is in urgent need of a midfielder after he lost three of them to the Olympics and has others, including Gerrard, on the injury list.

Good on ya Rafa. We want to keep him and if somebody wants him let them pay. ie…Villa and Barry! Funny how few recognize how much Dirk means to the team! Just ask Torres and Rafa.
