Hamburg ponder Josip Drmic loan

Bundesliga outfit Hamburg are showing interest in Bayer Leverkusen striker Josip Drmic, Sport Bild has revealed.

The Red Shorts have had another disappointing start to a league campaign, slipping into the relegation zone, and having scored mere four goals in eleven matches, they are desperate to sign a quality striker in January.

According to Sport Bild, HSV hope to recruit Swiss forward Josip Drmic on loan until the end of the season from Bayer Leverkusen.

The 22-year-old joined die Werkself this summer from Nurnberg, but he has struggled for playing time, starting just one Bundesliga fixture.

And with the player also losing the starting berth in the national team, he will probably be tempted by the promise of first team football at Hamburg.

The Red Shorts find themselves in a very difficult situation at the moment and after narrowly escaping the drop last term, they are now 7/2 shot to get relegated.
