Hamburger, Jarolim: We’re at home, I am confident

One of Hamburger SV’s unheralded heroes according to coach Martin Jol, Czech captain David Jarolím is urging his side to treat Manchester City FC with extreme caution when they meet on Thursday.

“We’re at home and the most important thing is that we don’t concede,” he said. “If we do that I am confident we can reach the semis.”

“Against Galatasaray we conceded early on in Germany and it made the rest of the tie – particularly the second leg – very difficult,” he recalled. “It would be nice if we scored at home to Manchester City but, and I stress: it is far more important that we don’t concede. You cannot always pull off something like we did in Istanbul.”
