Barnsley midfielder Adam Hammill has revealed that he would be interested in a move to the Premier League in the January transfer window.
The 22-year-old has recently been linked with the likes of Blackpool and Wolves.
Reports earlier this week suggested that Blackpool had agreed to pay the player’s £500,000 release clause.
“If I do leave it would have to be for a Premier League side,” he said in the Sunday Mirror.
“All the best players aspire to play there, and there are two Premier league clubs who are interested in me.
“But this is a difficult decision for me because I’ve got to weigh up how much game time I might get if I move to a top-flight team.
“I’m getting regular football at Barnsley and I really enjoy playing for the club. I am not going to rush my decision whatever happens.
“I won’t move for the sake of it and money will definitely not be a motivation because that would mean I am leaving for the wrong reasons.”
