Hannover 96 forward Jan Schlaudraff will need an operation for a nagging groin injury that will put him out of action for at least a month, club officials told reporters.
Schlaudraff said the timing was bad given the German league resumes in about two weeks’ time with Hanover in 13th place, four points above the drop zone: “We had hoped to overcome this non-surgically but now we cannot afford to lose any more time”.
Hannover 96 is now at the thirteen place of the Bundesliga, with 17 points in 17 matches.
