Bundesliga outfit Hannover appear to have come to terms with losing captain Lars Stindl at the end of the season, according to Bild.
The highly rated footballer has a contract until June 2016 with the 96ers, and his €3 million release clause is a major cause for concern.
Namely, the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Schalke, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia M’gladbach are all keen on Stindl’s signature, and said amount is well within their price range.
As a result, the captain is widely tipped to leave Hannover at the end of the current campaign, with club chief Martin Kind expecting a final decision as early as next week.
“I expect a decision during the next week,” Kind confessed to Bild.
The 96ers seem to be bracing themselves for life without Stindl, but they are confident the midfielder will continue to give his best as long as he is at the club.
“It is important that he gives his best until the end,” Kind added.
Having missed a big chunk of the current campaign through injury, Lars Stindl only made 13 league appearances this season, scoring 4 goals.
