Bundesliga high-flyers Hannover are ready to make a significant effort to keep captain Lars Stindl at HDI Arena, according to Bild.
The 26-year-old has become one of league’s most sought-after footballers, which is hardly surprising given his impressive showings.
Given that Stindl has a contract until June 2016 at Hannover and that a €3 million buy-out clause will be active from next summer, Germany’s top clubs have been casting admiring glances his way.
The likes of Schalke, Borussia M’gladbach and few other sides have been showing interest in the highly rated footballer, but the 96ers believe they can persuade him to stay nonetheless.
Namely, Hannover are ready to make Stindl their highest paid player by offering him a new four-year deal worth €2.5 million per campaign, while they have an ace up their sleeve as well.
While Schalke and Borussia M’gladbach coaches would use Stindl in a holding midfield role, the 96ers have promised the footballer he will continue to play just behind the striker, which is by far his favourite role.
