Hanover's French central defender Valerien Ismael will be out for at least four weeks with an injury to his right knee, his club announced on Wednesday.
The 33-year-old picked up the injury 10 days ago in his side's 4-0 Bundesliga defeat by Bayer Leverkusen and a bone specialist has told the player he needs intensive treatment.
“We have started to treat Valerien and he will not be able to train until further notice,” said Hanover team doctor Wego Kregehr.
