Hargreaves linked with QPR move

Queens Park Rangers boss Mark Hughes has revealed that former Manchester United midfielder is training with his squad.

The veteran midfielder has been a free agent since being released by Manchester City at the end of last season and he is currently searching for a new club.

The Welsh manager has confirmed reports that Hargreaves is training with the Loftus Road outfit, but refused to say whether he plans to try and sign the 31-year-old.

“Owen is training with the group. There is no obligation for any party,” Hughes told club’s official website.

“He is keen to retain his fitness and we are more than happy to help him by allowing him to train with us and use our facility at Harlington.”

Hargreaves was expected to become an Old Trafford icon after making a €25 million move to United from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2007, but he was released from his contract after four injury-plagued seasons with the Red Devils.

The former England international could only muster 28 Premier League appearances for Manchester United.

The midfielder joined Manchester City on a free transfer last summer, but could only make one Premier League appearance for the Citizens.

Hargreaves should give up. He was never good to begin with. And thats facts.
