Competition: Euro 2016 qualifier
Market: Harry Kane to score anytime
Odds: 4/5 @ Ladbrokes
Tottenham striker Harry Kane is expected to start for England against Lithuania in tonight’s Euro 2016 qualifier, with the 21-year-old having earned his call-up as a result of scoring 19 Premier League goals in 20 starts. The Spurs front man could be named in attack alongside captain Wayne Rooney, as manager Roy Hodgson is expected an easy win for the Three Lions.
Kane has been full of goals in any competition for Tottenham, scoring five times in the Europa League, and three in the Capital One Cup, so he won’t be fazed having to replicate such antics in a competitive international fixture. At 21, Kane is somewhat of a late bloomer in making his England debut, but he’s shown he has the qualities to become a mainstay.
While likely to be nervous making his debut, Lithuania shouldn’t pose much of a threat, and Kane will be lining up against a lesser standard of defender, so he could find some joy. Ladbrokes are giving odds of 4/5 for Harry Kane to score anytime against Lithuania, which would cap an incredible breakthrough season for the young striker.
