Manchester United central defender Harry Maguire will not join Premier League rivals West Ham United in the summer transfer window, according to 90min. The report has claimed that a potential move for Maguire to the Hammers, who won the UEF Europa Conference League last season, has collapsed.
West Ham had agreed a £30 million deal with Manchester United for Maguire. The England international central defender himself had agreed personal terms with the Hammers and was willing to move to London Stadium on a reduced salary. However, the former Leicester City defender was looking for a payoff from the Red Devils.
Manchester United and Maguire have been unable to reach an agreement over a payoff. A potential move to the Hammers has now collapsed, and the defender is set to stay at Old Trafford. Maguire has made 219 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. The defender has scored 11 goals, given eight assists, and kept 56 clean sheets in those games.
