Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks was offered to Leeds United earlier this summer, according to The Athletic. It has been reported that the England international was offered on loan to Leeds, but the West Yorkshire club turned it down. The reason behind Leeds’s decision has not been given.
Winks has come through the Tottenham youth academy and is a member of the first team. The midfielder scored two goals in 110 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. However, the midfielder struggled to play regularly for Spurs last season when Jose Mourinho was in charge of the North London club.
However, Nuno is now in charge of Tottenham, and perhaps the former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss could give chance to the England international midfielder in the coming weeks and months. Winks may not be able to start week in and week out, but he would be a very good option to have for Nuno.
