Hart linked with surprise City exit

Liverpool have been linked with a shock move for Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart, according to the Metro.

England’s first choice shot stopper has entered into the final two years of his contract, and is concerned that discussions over a new deal with the Champions have not yet commenced.

Hart has played every minute on City’s Premier League campaign so far, though he has not kept a clean sheet since the opening day 2-0 victory over Newcastle United.

In total, he has made two hundred and fifty-nine appearances for the club since signing from Shrewsbury Town in 2006, while he also had successful loan spells with Tranmere Rovers, Blackpool and Birmingham City before establishing himself as City’s number one.

Manuel Pellegrini’s men, who drew 1-1 with leaders Chelsea yesterday, will turn their attention to the League Cup on Wednesday when they face Championship side Sheffield Wednesday at the Etihad Stadium.
