Has Sepp Blatter completely lost the plot?

I can’t believe what I’m reading recently about the goings on at FIFA.

Today I have read the fact that FIFA president Sepp Blatter has decided to appoint Spanish singer Placido Domingo as an adviser to footballs governing body.

Ridiculous

This decision to appoint a Spanish singer as a football adviser really proves that Blatter is starting to lose the plot. In fact never mind losing the plot I don’t think he has even read the script.

Blatter is the sort of guy who if he worked in careers decision office would advise Ryan Giggs to be a marriage guidance officer. It’s the sort of decision that begs the question was Blatter really the best candidate we had to run our game?

Scandal

FIFA has became a real joke in the last 12 months or so. The organisation has been hit by major scandal in the last year with representatives accused of taking brides and bungs. Some have even been suspended., including Blatter’s former-presidential rival Mohammed bin Hammam.

FA

I have to say I don’t have the biggest respect for the English FA but they restored some respect by calling for Blatter not to be re-elected unopposed. They showed that they have no faith in world football’s governing body and his re-election was unjust.

To the English FA I say well done. You have done something very sensible by trying to distancing yourselves from FIFA and actually make a difference in football. An election with only one candidate is a joke.

Awkward

The biggest joker in the whole pack is the FIFA President. He seems to go from one awkward situation to another. I just can’t understand how this guy is still president of FIFA. Maybe it’s because the rest of the FIFA delegates are just as incompetent.

Bizarre

The appointment of Domingo as a football adviser comes on the back of the decision to also appoint former-US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger as another adviser. The 88 year-old may know his politics but does he know anything about football.

I don’t know but surely there are more qualified people out there to advise the clueless Blatter? The other person that Blatter has appointed is former-Dutch legend Johan Cruyff. I think that should have been back page news on every newspaper with headlines reading: Blatter In Good Decision Shocker!

Cruyff is a true football great, having won major honours as a player and more recently as a boss. He is the sort of person FIFA need to involve more in the organisation.

I must apologise to our readers for the triad against Blatter in this article. Like many people I love football and this idiot has the power to ruin OUR game. That’s the thing football is the peoples game and the man in charge is quite simply an idiot.

Change

The re-appointment of Sepp Blatter as FIFA President is proof that change is needed within the power corridors of the game. The sooner that FIFA find a replacement for the Swiss buffoon the better.

As football fans we don’t ask for a lot. All we ask for is a governing body who can make sensible and clear decisions. The health of our game is at stake. FIFA need to get rid of the corruption inside the organisation.

Football has now grown into one of the biggest businesses in the world. That means that some people involved have become greedy and corruptible. Unfortunately even the exit of Sepp Blatter is unlikely to stop the corruption that’s eaten away at football and FIFA in general

Has Sepp Blatter lost his mind?

I completely agree with u. Absolutely no need for one to be FIFA president for 20+ yrs. The law of diminishing return has set in. Blatter himself is corrupt. You need a thief to catch a thief, but you also need a thief to let another thief escape! Can FIFA heal itself?

no need to ask the question, it’s pretty obvious Blatter forgot that this is about football not music. there are a lot of retired great football players that he can appoint for that position but he doesnt want them. Fifa is now in turmoil.
