Ben Woodburn made his international debut for Wales in Cardiff on Saturday night against Austria, coming on as a substitute with 20 minutes to go.
Five minutes after his introduction the young Liverpool starlet sent a rocket flying into the Austria’s goal thus keeping his nation in play when it comes to booking a Russian visa.
Wales are taking on Moldova next in a game that could be crucial for the third-placed side in Group D and Ben Woodburn could once again be given a chance to prove his worth. Wales manager Chris Coleman certainly believes Woodburn has all it takes to become a top star like Gareth Bale.
And judging by this beautiful goal we couldn’t agree more.
For all of you who might have missed the goal, here is another look of that Woodburn’s rocket:
Wales manager Coleman: “Our golden generation – The Bales & Allens. For new boys like Woodburn, that’s the path.”
