Chelsea’s Eden Hazard is currently contemplating handing in a transfer request in order to force his long-desired move to Real Madrid, according to AS.
The Belgian has long been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu and he’s been quite open about the fact that he was considering it. Various reports from Spain suggested that a deal was looming close, that Real were “confident” about getting it done soon, and some even stated that it was agreed but the official announcement put on hold until the end of the season.
Now however, AS claim that Chelsea have been extremely rigid during the negotiations with director Marina Granovskaia holding firm on her stance that Chelsea will not let Hazard go for anything under €100 million, despite the forward entering the final 12 months of his contract, which in turn indicates that the matter is far from settled.
Hazard is only one of the big names currently on Real’s summer shopping list, which also reportedly contains Manchester United’s Paul Pogba, Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Eriksen and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Luka Jović.
