Hazard: I’m staying at Lille

Lille highly rated midfielder Eden Hazard has cooled off transfer talk by saying that he is happy at Stade Lille Metropole.

The 20-year-old winger was widely tipped to leave les Dogues this summer, amidst interest from top European clubs, but it now looks as though he might be staying for another year.

The Ligue 1 champions are determined to keep hold of the Belgian after key players Adil Rami, Yohan Cabaye and Gervinho left the club.

“I’m a Lille player for now,” Hazard told La Voix du Nord.

“I know that I can achieve a lot here if I stay. There’s a great atmosphere in a team that plays good football.

“I can still improve here.”
