Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard has told L’Equipe that the club needs to improve if they want to keep him in London, or else a move to Real Madrid could be interesting and that “they know what they have to do if they want me”. The 27-year-old seems to be in the form of his life as he moves into his prime, and while he may be focusing his attention on the World Cup with Belgium, when he returns, the question surrounding his future in domestic football will continue.
It certainly seems as if Hazard is keeping his options open, and if he produces a handful of good performances in Russia, then his price tag could rise even higher. He seems to enjoy life in the Premier League and he’s proven himself to be one of the best in the world, but the allure of challenging himself in La Liga alongside Cristiano Ronaldo may be too strong.
