Scottish Premier League club Hearts have entered administration, OMNISPORT understands.
The club announced their intention to appoint an administrator on Monday at a Court of Session in Edinburgh.
Accountancy firm BDO have reportedly been appointed as the club’s adminstrator, the same company that dealt with the liquidation of Rangers oldco in 2012.
The Tynecastle outfit are expected to start the season on minus 15 points, as SPL rules determine that a club entering adminstration will lose a third of their points total from the previous campaign.
Hearts finished in 10th position in the 2012-13 season, amassing 44 points overall.
