Hearts want to sign Brighton defender Odeluga Offiah

Heart of Midlothian are interested in signing Odeluga Offiah from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window, according to The Athletic. The report has claimed that Scottish Premiership club Hearts want to get a loan deal done for defender Offiah with Premier League outfit Brighton.

Offiah has been on the books of Brighton since 2017. The 20-year-old is a central defender by trade, but the youngster is also able to play as a right-back. The Englishman has made two appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

Brighton finished as high as sixth in the Premier League table last season with 62 points from 38 matches. The Seagulls will play in the UEFA Europa League this campaign. Meanwhile, Hearts ended up as high as fourth in the Scottish Premiership table last season. The Scottish club will enter the UEFA Europa Conference League at the third qualifying round stage.
