Heaton open to Burnley exit

Tom Heaton has admitted that he’s open to the idea of leaving Burnley, after failing to pick up too much time in the starting XI following his return from a shoulder injury. The 32 year old lost his place to Joe Hart, with Nick Pope also being considered to be further ahead of him in the pecking order. In a recent interview, however, Tom spoke about how it isn’t exactly rocket science that it’ll be difficult for all three men to be satisfied with the current situation at Turf Moor.

Heaton stated that he’ll be keeping his options open once the January transfer window rolls around, which is probably the best course of action for him. There are many clubs who would probably be interested in the idea of signing him, whether that be abroad or around the Premier League as we look ahead to another interesting few months of speculation.
