Espanyol defender Hector Moreno has welcomed speculation linking him with a summer switch to Italian Serie A.
The Mexican stopper is reportedly on the radar of both AC Milan and Inter Milan, having continued to impress in Spanish La Liga.
And it now looks a summer exit could be on the cards as Moreno admits he is flattered by the reported interest from Italy’s top sides.
“I simply appreciate (reports of interest from Italy),” Moreno told Catalan daily Sport.
“I’ve not heard anything more about it, just read that there’s interest, but it would be very hard to say no.
“I’m committed to keep working but I’m ready in case there is something. But I’ll give my best for Espanyol.”
Hector Moreno joined los Periquitos from AZ Alkmaar in the summer of 2011 and immediately developed into a key player at Cornella El Prat.
He has so far amassed 90 league appearances for the club and managed to score 6 goals in the process.
Espanyol are safely tucked away in the middle of the standings at the moment as they sit ten points clear of the relegation zone, with Javier Aguirre’s men 3/4 favourites to defeat Elche on Sunday.
